Every Graymont engagement runs on the same discipline: structured intelligence analysis. Ambiguous situations are broken into component questions. Evidence is weighed against alternatives — not assembled to confirm a preferred answer. Confidence is stated honestly, including where it is thin. The method comes from the intelligence profession. The application is commercial.
Our work product is written. Every engagement ends in a document precise enough to be challenged — sourced, reasoned, and short enough to be read by the people who must act on it. If a conclusion cannot survive being written down, it is not a conclusion. It is a hunch.
Engagements are led and delivered by the principals whose names appear on this site. The practice is deliberately small and the client list deliberately short, because judgment does not scale the way headcount does. When you engage Graymont, you get Graymont.
Clients can hold us to three things. Our analysis says what the evidence supports, not what is easiest to hear. Our recommendations are ones we would act on ourselves, in your position, with your exposure. And when a question sits outside our competence, we say so — and help you find whose competence it sits inside.
